- Gloucestershire Health and Wellbeing College – for Live Better to Feel Better courses in person and online for people living with long-term health conditions.
- Gloucestershire ME/CFS/Fibro/LC friendship group – for peer support online and in person.
- The Facebook group can be joined online by answering a few simple questions. To join the WhatsApp group, it is necessary to email the team at mecfsfriendship@outlook.com with your mobile number.
- The Charcot Centre – for peer support and gentle exercise.
- Isbourne Centre – for wellbeing classes/courses.
- Healthy Lifestyles Glos – for support returning to activity/ exercise.
- Artlift – for creative courses offered across Gloucestershire for people living with physical and/or mental health challenges. Creative Shift is an online course suitable for people living with Long Covid.
Community Hubs
Other activities, groups, advice and community support can be accessed through Community Hubs such as, GL11 for Cam & Dursley, GL Communities in Gloucester, The Keepers in Wotton-under-Edge, GL3 in Churchdown, All Pulling Together in Stonehouse and many more across the county.
To find out about your nearest community hub, ask to speak to a Social Prescriber at your GP surgery.

If you are already in receipt of a benefit such as Universal Credit (UC), you can request a meeting with a Disability Employment Advisor (DEA) via your UC Journal or through your JobCentre. A DEA can offer advice around finding accessible work when you are managing a disabling health condition.
You can also call your local Citizens Advice Bureau for advice and support.
National Online Programmes for people with Long Covid
Hope Programme for Long Covid – This programme aims to teach you how to become more relaxed, improve your confidence in setting positive goals, learn stress and fatigue management skills and explore any worries you experience.
COURSES — Hope For The Community CIC
ENO Breathe (must have referral code from Respiratory Service) – This is a breathing and wellbeing programme developed specifically for people recovering from COVID-19, who are still suffering from breathlessness and associated anxiety. Delivered by ENO in collaboration with Imperial College Healthcare teams entirely online, the programme focuses on breathing re-training through singing.
