Montpellier Low Secure Unit

Contact Montpellier Unit: 0300 421 4806

Montpellier is a low secure rehabilitation facility for 12 males with a primary diagnosis of serious mental illness. We take patients for six months to two years and work with them to achieve recovery and inclusion into wider society.

We have a large multi-disciplinary team which includes nurses, doctors, occupational and sports therapists and a social worker. Our team engages with patients using a number of methods and in a variety of environments, whether it be using our ward-based sports equipment, a city centre gym, a walk on the nearby Malvern Hills or cycling in the Forest of Dean.

Visitor information

We welcome friends and family to visit. Visiting times are between 9am and 9:30pm every day. Sometimes it is difficult for your visitors to come to the hospital at certain times. If that happens, we will try to be as flexible as possible. We also ask that visitors:

  • try to avoid visiting during meal times, handover times and at times when therapies and activities are taking place
  • try to plan any visits around any treatment programme you are taking part in
  • leave the ward by 9pm
  • ensure all children under the age of 16 are supervised by an accompanying adult at all times
