Intravenous (IV) Therapy
The Community IV Therapy Team is a countywide service which provides intravenous (IV) therapies to patients in their own homes, community hospitals and community outpatient clinics following referral by a GP, consultant or specialist nurse.
Our aim is to provide high quality, safe and evidence-based IV treatments for local people closer to home.
The team is made up of specialised nurses who support delivery of IV therapies in the community to patients either at home or clinic (dependant on the treatment option).

- IV Antibiotics
- IV Bisphosphonates
- IV Furosemide
- COVID nMAB infusions
- IV Device Care and Management
Primary locality clinics are available at the Forest of Dean, North Cotswolds, Cirencester Community Hospitals, and Churchdown.
How to access this service
Patients can be referred by a GP, Consultant, Specialist Nurse or Medical Teams through Single Point of Clinical Access (SPCA) – 0300 421 0300
