Requirements to work in the UK
- Before coming to the UK, you will need to pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- When you’ve passed this, you can start the first part of the NMC registration process – a computer-based test of your theoretical and practical knowledge
- After this, you can apply to the NMC, travel to the UK and take your OSCEs
You can currently work in UK as a registered nurse with the following requirements
- Non EU and EU citizens (Any applicants from outside UK) : We will need to apply for a certificate of sponsorship for you to be able to work with us. This Certificate (COS) will enable you to obtain a Working Visa. It can be quite a lengthy process but we have experience of making these types of applications and our friendly and supportive HR team will be able to make the process as seamless and smooth as possible, giving you advice where it is needed
- As an Overseas Nurse applicant you will need to pass your IELTS or OETS exam and CBT before you can apply for a position with us.
- EU citizens who have been continually living in the EU for five years by 29 March 2019 will be able to apply to stay indefinitely by getting ‘settled’ status and won’t require sponsorship or Visa.
